By Nick Wilson -- A Shandon High School graduate has been named the new secretary of the National FFA Organization. Nessie Early, a 20-year-old animal science major at Cal Poly, starts her new position with the organization, which is based in Indianapolis, on Dec. 1. She’ll take a break from college over the next 12 months to travel more than 100,000 miles promoting agriculture through FFA.
