On Monday November 17th The Garden City Recreation Department held its three Championship Games for its fall 2008 Roller Hockey Season. Up first was the Junior Division which is children ages 9 & 10. It was battle between the New York Rangers coached by first year coach Jonathan Zarkin and the Dallas Stars coached by fellow first year coach Vinny LoRusso.

Jonesboro Parks and Recreation has started its first season of an Ultimate Frisbee League. Ultimate Frisbee is similar to playing football or rugby except with a Frisbee. The players on the team pass the Frisbee to one another with the goal of making it to the end zone without being stopped by the opposing team.
